Information Services Manager I

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent from four-year college or university; six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and two years management experience.

SUMMARY

Position Summary: The IT ISM at J.B. Hunt Transport is responsible for managing a team of technology professionals that are tasked with the procurement and deployment of technology hardware, software, and services. The department is engaged in the installation and maintenance of a complex end user environment, supporting various business units.

Responsibilities:

1.)    Monitors team operational activities by analyzing performance metrics to ensure optimal performance.

2.)    Develops department objectives, goals, and projects by collaborating with the business to understand requirements and meet business needs.

3.)    Develops and manages departmental budgets including capital planning and operational spend.

4.)    Consults with business partners on technical hardware, software, and services by developing relationships to understand their technology needs.

5.)    Cultivates a work environment that promotes high morale and productivity by providing career paths, ongoing training, and skill enhancement to attract and retain high caliber talent.

6.)    Develops internal systems controls and procedures by considering factors such as industry best practices, licensing obligations and financial stewardship to ensure compliance with applicable policies and laws.
